LARRY JOSEPHSON, PRODUCER (contact)
Larry Josephson has been a public radio host, producer, manager and engineer for more than 45 years. His work has been heard on NPR, WBAI and other Pacifica stations across the United States. For nearly 30 years, Josephson has produced and distributed the work of Bob & Ray, having brought them back to radio for The Bob & Ray Public Radio Show, and a live farewell concert in Carnegie Hall Bob & Ray: A Night of Two Stars. Both became a series of cassettes and on CD and iTunes. BobandRay.com also distributes the work of Jean Shepherd, the legendary American humorist.
Josephson won the Peabody Award, the highest honor given to American broadcasters, and three Grammy nominations, for his work with Bob & Ray.
Larry is president of the Radio Foundation, an independent public radio production company he established in 1977. The Foundation, the parent company of BobandRay.com, is supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, The National Endowment for the Arts, and private foundations and individuals. Larry holds a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California at Berkeley.
