LARRY JOSEPHSON, PRODUCER (contact)
Larry Josephson has been a public radio host and producer for more than 40 years. His work has been heard on NPR and Pacifica stations across the United States. For more than 25 years, Josephson has produced and distributed the work of Bob & Ray, having brought them back to radio for The Bob & Ray Public Radio Show, and live to Carnegie Hall for A Night of Two Stars. Both became a series of cassettes and now CDs. Josephson won the Peabody Award, the highest honor given to American producers, and three Grammy nominations for his work with Bob & Ray. He is president of the Radio Foundation, an independent public radio production company he established in 1977. The foundation, which is the parent company of bobandray.com, is supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, The National Endowment for the Arts, and private foundations and individuals. Larry holds a B.A. in linguistics from the University of California at Berkeley.
